Recovery That Fits Your Life

You've earned a gentle month. Every-other-day delivery is one full day of food — with room left for the days your family cooks.

15 full days of meals · 15 deliveries within 30 days$1,550

Someone at home has already offered to help — your mother, your mother-in-law, your husband. What makes you pause probably isn't whether someone will cook. It's whether they'll wear themselves out doing it.

A full postpartum day is a lot to make from scratch. It's easy for one big pot of soup to stretch across three days — or for a willing helper who doesn't know Zuo Yue Zi to reach for the wrong ingredients, blurring the stages that are meant to cleanse first and nourish later. All heart, not always the right food for the moment.

Every-other-day delivery is one full day of food — with room left for the days your family cooks.

Delivering every other day lets your family still prepare some of your meals, without standing over the stove all month — while every other day, you get a complete day of proper, stage-by-stage recovery food. They don't burn out. You still heal well.

And if you're not sure Chinese postpartum food will suit your taste, the rhythm helps there too: our meals on delivery days, your own familiar food in between. No all-or-nothing.

What Arrives Every Other Day

A full day of healing, every time

Each of your fifteen deliveries brings:

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in full — the same eleven items as the Classic plan, balanced the traditional way to restore strength, energy, and gut health.

Dish PhotoSesame oil chicken or a braise · ~600 × 400

Warm, cooked-from-scratch dishes

Nothing pre-packaged, nothing shortcut. Every dish is built on hours of slow simmering and warming ingredients that support postpartum circulation and gentle recovery.

A rhythm with room in it

Fifteen deliveries across your thirty days, arriving every other day — so the food is there when you need it, and the table is free when your family wants to cook.

Perfect For You If…

You have help at home. We fill the gaps.

The Easy Meal is for the mom who wants to supplement her meals, not replace all of them. Full days of recovery food, at a pace that leaves room for everyone else.

Maybe your mother or mother-in-law flew in and has already claimed the kitchen — and a daily delivery would only mean good food going cold in the fridge. Or you like cooking, and you want a plan that makes space for it.

Maybe you're watching the budget, and you'd rather do fifteen real days of Zuo Yue Zi than stretch for thirty. Or maybe this whole tradition is new to you, and you'd like to step in gently before committing your entire month — curious, not certain, and that's a perfectly good place to start.

Whichever one sounds like you, the food is the same food. Only the rhythm is yours to choose.

Good Questions

Before you decide

Is every other day really enough?

Each delivery is a complete day of food — a full, stage-by-stage recovery day, the same items as our Classic plan. The every-other-day rhythm is designed for mothers who already have help at home: your family can still cook the meals they're comfortable with, without wearing themselves out over a full month, while every other day you're guaranteed proper Zuo Yue Zi food made the right way. They stay rested, and your recovery stays on track.

What do I eat on the days in between?

Those days are yours. Family cooking, your own kitchen, or the meal you've been craving since the second trimester. There's no wrong way to fill them — the days we deliver keep your Zuo Yue Zi on track, and the days in between are simply yours.

How does the every-other-day delivery work?

You'll receive fifteen deliveries across your thirty days, arriving every other day. We aim to reach your door before noon, though actual times shift with traffic and routes, so an exact hour isn't guaranteed. In remote areas an additional delivery fee may apply. Refrigerate your meals when they arrive, and heat them thoroughly before eating.

Can I still get the herbal drinks?

Yes — they're an optional add-on at $300. Because your deliveries come every other day, the drinks arrive two cups at a time: one for the day your meals come, one for the day in between. The 15 formulas still follow the traditional recovery sequence across your month.

Will I like the food if I didn't grow up with it?

Most first-timers tell us the food is warmer and more familiar than they expected — savory broths, slow-cooked chicken, gentle vegetables, comforting rice dishes. The easiest way to know for sure is to try a sample day before committing.

When should I order?

At least one month before your due date, if you can. The week your baby arrives, you will not have the bandwidth to compare plans or fill out forms — and you shouldn't have to. Your start date can be adjusted once the baby comes.

Not Sure Yet?

Taste before you commit.

The Easy plan is already the gentlest way into Zuo Yue Zi — and a sample day is gentler still. Have one full day delivered, and let the food make the case.

Or call (626) 217-7539 — we're usually around later than you'd expect.
